Andrew Latham is a professor of political science at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is the author, most recently, of Theorizing Medieval Geopolitics: War and World Order in the Age of the Crusades, and The Holy Lance, his first novel. In 2017 he received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities in support of his book project entitled Political Theology and Medieval Sovereignty, which will be published by ARC Humanities Press/Amsterdam University Press in 2021. In addition to publishing in a range of leading academic journals he has published in magazines such as First Things, Commonweal, The Diplomat, Providence, Touchstone, Ethika Politika, and Crisis. He also writes a biweekly column for the online publication Medievalists.net.
