Daniel Lipinski represented the Third District of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2005 to 2021. He was known as a highly knowledgeable and effective lawmaker who worked to bring people together across the aisle to solve problems, enabling him to author 20 laws in a wide variety of issue areas. Lipinski served on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee as well as the Science, Space, and Technology Committee. He was previously an assistant professor of Political Science (University of Notre Dame; University of Tennessee) after earning his Ph.D. in American Politics from Duke University. He is currently president of Lipinski Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm, and is a member of the Advisory Council for the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. Lipinski also serves on the Boards of Trustees for the Belmont (Abbey College) House on Capitol Hill, Lewis University, and Empower Illinois. Lipinski is the author of Congressional Communication: Content and Consequences (University of Michigan Press) and has recently published articles in Public Discourse, America, First Things, and The Atlantic, as well as op-eds in the Wall Street Journal and Chicago Tribune, and a chapter in the book Under the Iron Dome.
