Dr. Greg F. Burke graduated from the Jefferson Medical College and pursued internal medicine training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He joined the Geisinger Medical Center as an associate in 1992 and has maintained an active internal medicine practice there since then. He has served in several administrative roles, most recently as the Chief Patient Experience Officer of Geisinger Health. He has served on the hospital’s ethics committee since 1994. Dr. Burke has an ongoing interest in Catholic bioethics and serves as co-chairman of the Catholic Medical Association’s ethics committee. He has published multiple essays and articles in bioethics and for 10 years contributed to the National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly review of the medical literature. He is a recipient of the “Benemerenti” medal for service to the Church awarded by Pope Benedict XVI in 2007.
