Luke Burgis
Luke Burgis is Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship at the Catholic University of America and Assistant Clinical Professor of Practice. He is the author of the bestselling book Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life, which has been translated into 23 languages, and the Luke Burgis Newsletter on Substack. Luke is a veteran entrepreneur who founded three successful businesses before walking away from them in his late twenties to study philosophy and theology as a seminarian for the Diocese of Las Vegas, a journey that took him to Rome for three years at the Pontifical North American College. Luke is currently working on a forthcoming book, also for St. Martin’s Press, titled The One and the Ninety-Nine: Coercion, Conformity, and the Courage for Truth.
